| 1: Melt the butter in the milk in the microwave at about 30%-40% power. |

| 2: Add the water, with the goal of the end temperature being about 110°F. |

| 3: Pour liquid into the bread machine pan. |

| 4: Add eggs, salt, and sugar. |

| 5: Alternate adding ⅓ of the flour with ½ the xanthan gum, ½ the anise seed, and ½ the orange zest until all are added. |

| 6: Level the top in the pan, and sprinkle on the 2 tsp yeast. |

| 7: Set the bread machine for a "normal" 1½-pound (750g) loaf. |

This needs a boat-load of experimenting with the water amount. We have only made it once, and had to add probably another quarter cup of water while it was kneading to get a good texture.
