Lemon Squares

Bottom Layer

Ingredients:

• 2 cups flour
• ½ cup sugar
• 1 cup butter (2 sticks)

Steps:

1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).   
2: Mix 2 cups flour, half cup sugar, and butter. Pat into a jellyroll pan.   
3: Bake for 20 minutes.   

Top Layer

Ingredients:

• 2 cups sugar
• ¼ cup flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ¼ tsp salt
• juice of 2 lemons (about 6 Tbs)
• 4 beaten eggs

Steps:

1: Mix top-layer ingredients.   
2: Pour over the baked crust.   
3: Bake for 25 more minutes.   
4: Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cool before cutting into squares.
