Pecan Waffles

  1. Whisk flour, salt and powder in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk egg, sugar, vanilla and butter until smooth.
  3. Add the wet to the dry and stir just until combined. (Walk away. Just walk away.) Briefly stir in the pecans.
  4. Brush a little oil on the waffle iron and preheat.
  5. Use ⅓ to frac12; cup of batter per waffle. Cook according to the waffle iron's directions, tyically 3-4 minutes, until light golden brown.
