Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease an 8-inch pie plate.
  2. Sift together flour, cocoa, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Stir the eggs into the sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the flour mixture. Stir just until combined.
  5. Pour in the vanilla and butter. Stir until well combined.
  6. Pour into a prepared pie plate.
  7. Bake on the lower rack of the oven for 35 minutes, or until the center has slightly set.
  8. Allow to cool for an hour in the pie plate.
  9. Serve warm, or refrigerate overnight and serve cold.
